Another Look at Breaking Negative Patterns

In taking on a new student, I am happily forced to reexamine many basic concepts, but none are as basic as consciousness. Each of us has our own quale, which is the feel of our consciousness. How does it feel to be reading this, sitting in our living room, etc. Consciousness has memory as Gerald Edelman explains in his book “Wider Than The Sky” or we would experience everything as novel and could not translate behaviors, but would always be a tourist in our own world.
